The Punjab Institute of Computer Science (PICS) is a computer college of the University of Central Punjab. It is situated in Gulberg, Lahore, Pakistan.
Mian Amir Mahmood, owner of the Punjab Group of Colleges, after establishing the Punjab Law College and a chain of Punjab Commerce Colleges ventured into computer sciences and setup the Punjab Institute of Computer Sciences (PICS). The first campus of PICS was on Main Boulevard, Gulberg.
In 1997 Mian Amir saw that PICS was not profitable enough. It only had two intakes per year while other colleges were taking more. It was sold to a Prime Bank (now defunct) and the college and its facilities merged with the Punjab College of Business Administration (PCBA), forming PCBACS or Punjab College of Business Administration and Computer Sciences.
